Seychelles

Granite boulders and powder-white sand

Best time to go
April to May and October to November
Suggested stay
7 to 10 nights
Pairs well with
Dubai, on the way there or back

Some of the world's most beautiful beaches, framed by giant granite boulders and jungle-covered hills. Quieter and wilder than the Maldives, and made for island hopping.

The Seychelles is a group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, and most couples split their stay between two or three of them. Mahé has the widest choice of hotels, Praslin has the Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio, and La Digue is the place to cycle between beaches with hardly a car in sight.

We plan the ferries and short flights between the islands and choose villas that put you right on the sand.

Moments we'd plan for you

  • Beach villa or hillside pool villa
  • Cycling La Digue to Anse Source d'Argent
  • The Vallée de Mai and its rare coco de mer palms
  • Giant tortoises on Curieuse Island
  • A private catamaran day between the islands
  • Creole dinner on the beach

A sample itinerary

A starting point. We'll shape every day around your dates, budget and wishes.

Settle into your beach villa, swim at Beau Vallon and spend a day snorkelling in the Sainte Anne Marine Park.

  2. Days 4–7

    Praslin

Ferry to Praslin for Anse Lazio, a walk through the Vallée de Mai and a boat trip to Curieuse to meet the giant tortoises.

  3. Days 8–9

    La Digue

Rent bicycles and ride between beaches to Anse Source d'Argent, the boulder beach you've seen in photos.

  4. Day 10

Back to Mahé for one last swim before your flight home.

Where to stay

Mahé
The main island, with the international airport and the widest choice of resorts.
Praslin
Slower and greener, home to Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, and an easy base for day trips.
La Digue
Small and quiet, with bicycles instead of cars and the most photographed beaches in the islands.
Private islands
North Island, Félicité or Denis for the ultimate splurge, reached by a short flight or boat.
