Draft for review

Honeymoon Creators still needs to confirm the details in square brackets: the legal entity, ICO registration and how long we keep enquiries.

Who we are

Honeymoon Creators designs tailor-made honeymoons and romantic trips. In this policy, "we" means [legal entity name, company number and registered address], which decides how your personal information is used (the "controller"). [ICO registration number, if registered.]

For anything about your personal information, email Operations@honeymooncreators.com or write to us at Sheikh Zayed, Giza, Egypt.

What we collect

When you use our trip planner or one of our forms, we collect what you choose to tell us:

  • your names, phone or WhatsApp number and, if you give it, your email address
  • your company, if you ask about a corporate partnership
  • details of the trip you have in mind: destinations, dates, length, budget, the moments you'd love and anything else you write in your message

We also record which page you sent it from, the country your connection comes from (worked out from your internet connection, not your exact location), and when you agreed to this policy.

Please don't send passport details, payment card numbers or health information through the website forms. If we need them to book your trip, we'll ask for them separately and securely.

When you book with us, we'll also hold the details needed to make your reservations, such as travellers' names as they appear on passports, and payment records.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

  • To reply to your enquiry and put together ideas and a proposal. We do this because you've asked us to, and you've agreed to it by ticking the box on the form (consent, and taking steps at your request before a contract).
  • To book and look after your trip. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
  • To keep proper business and accounting records. Some of these we have to keep by law (legal obligation).
  • To keep our website and systems secure. This is in our legitimate interests, and yours.

We won't send you marketing unless you've asked for it, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

  • Our team, who need it to plan your trip. Only managers can see full contact details in our enquiries system.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores enquiries for us in a database located in the European Union.
  • Microsoft, which provides our email.
  • Hotels, airlines and local partners, only once you book, and only what they need to provide your trip. Some of them are outside the UK and EU; we share only what is needed to deliver the trip you've asked for.

If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Cookies and other websites

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. To see how many people visit and how fast our pages load, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across websites; it counts page views and loading times without identifying you. Some of the destination photos are currently loaded from Unsplash, a photo library, so your browser connects to Unsplash's servers to show them, which lets Unsplash see your IP address.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that don't lead to a booking for [24 months] after we last hear from you, then delete them. We keep booking and payment records for [6 years], as tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your information
  • limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
  • send your information to you or another company in a common format

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it. To use any of these rights, email Operations@honeymooncreators.com. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
